Jamaica 55 Diaspora Conference

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith, officially opens the Market Place at the Jamaica 55 Diaspora Conference held last week at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston from July 24-26. Participating in the opening were: Seth George Ramocan (left), Jamaican High Commissioner to the United Kingdom; Earl Jarrett, CEO of the Jamaica National Group and chairman of the Diaspora Foundation; Vivienne Bayley Hay, lead group corporate affairs and communications at the Victoria Mutual Building Society; Steven Sykes, director operations, National Baking Company Ltd and Shereen Jones, chief information technology at the Jamaica National Group. The opening took place on day three of the conference.
