Courtney Campbell to succeed Richard Powell as VM President and CEO

Courtney Campbell will become Victoria Mutual Group’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 18, 2016, succeeding the soon-to-be retired Richard Powell.

VM announced the appointment of Campbell in a press release on Thursday afternoon. GraceKennedy earlier announced the resignation of Campbell as CEO of GraceKennedy Financial Group and First Global Bank effective January 31.

Campbell is an accomplished executive with many years’ strategic leadership experience and strong operating skillsin banking, investments, insurance and money services.  Over the course of his career, he has held several senior executive positions, including,most recently, Chief Executive Officer of First Global Bank and Chief Executive Officer of GraceKennedy Financial Group.

Prior to the Grace Kennedy Financial Group, he was the General Manager of Retail Banking at National Commercial Bank.

Campbell is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a BSc in Management Studies. He has an MBA in Finance (Distinction), jointly awarded by University of Wales and the Manchester Business Schooland is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London. He is Chairman of the National Education Trust.
