Security starts with your Web browser. When you access VM Express Online, your browser is checked by VMBS to ensure that it meets our minimum requirements. You can protect yourself online by using an up-to-date browser with the most recent security updates.

To ensure the security of our online banking service, VM Express Online supports the following browsers that use 128-bit encryption:

Web browser encryption
Web browsers use encryption to communicate securely over the Internet. You must have a browser with 128-bit encryption to use VMBS Internet Banking. All of the browsers supported by VMBS Internet Banking offer 128-bit encryption.

Session timeout
If you use a public or shared computer with VM Express Online Banking, it is vital that you sign out when you are finished. Once you have signed out, you should enhance your security by deleting the browser's cache. The cache maintains a copy of web pages that have been viewed recently.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or later for Windows

  1. Click the gear box on the right to open the setting menu.
  2. Select  "Safely" and then "Delete browsing History".
  3. Then select  “Temporary Internet Files”. Uncheck all other boxes.
  4. Click "Delete".
  5. When prompted to, select "OK".

Google Chrome

  1. Select the Wrench icon then "Tools"
  2. Choose "Clear Browsing Data"
  3. In the "Obliterate the following items from" drop down select "the beginning of time":
  4. Select the "Empty the Cache" check box. Uncheck all other options
  5. Click the "Clear Browsing Data" button.
  6. Select "OK" when done.

Firefox for Windows

  1. Choose "Options".
  2. Select "Privacy", then "Clear your recent history".
  3. From the pop-box, make sure “Cookies” and “Cache” is selected.
  4. Select "Clear Now"
  5. Select "OK"
